Note: I am not confident that the families in the 1841 and 1851 are the same as in 1861 and 1871. The names "David" and Davies" are extremely common in Wales.
Moreover, the handwriting in the 1841 is very poor, i.e, many instances of "Davies" look like "Davis". If the families are the same, presumably the absence of David and Hannah in the 1861 census is explained by them having left home. Hannah Davies married John Evans on 27 September 1870 at Llanfihangel Ystrad, Cardiganshire. It appears Margaret Davies married and became Margaret Hughes. |
